The firestone + fiery enchant seems to form a synnergy such that the fiery enchant procs much more than it would under normal conditions.

It is extremely common when using them together that one or or both will proc on every single hit. Every single one. If the stone is part of Blizzard's crappy joke, the punchline is not aimed at warlocks.

My fiery enchanted sword and firestone do more damage than my wands, and they have pulled me out of a bind on multiple occasions.

This is more of a solo deal of course. No need for it in a party. Another practical advantage

Absolutly. My sword has ableed effect and i have it enchanted with fiery so just about every swing my sword Procs something not to mention the effect of fiery is bumped by the fire stone. my sword does about 400 DPS with these effects and then i havnt even put Curse of Elements on them yet. Have you ever seen a knife do 300 DPS, improve your firestone, put fiery enchant on it and you will. :)

I also forget to mention that the Firestone goes off on swing so the faster the weapon the more it will proc, the more it procs the higher the DPS. A knife like julies dagger is absolutly sickening.
